Gymtastics Play-it-Forward Projects Summer Camp 2015
CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - July 17, 2015) - Gymtastics Play-it-Forward Projects ("Play-it-Forward") has completed another successful local project.
We had a blast at the 4th Annual Play-it-Forward Summer Camp held at Gymtastics Gym Club north location. 50 well deserving children ages 5-12 years old and over 15 volunteers attended.
It was a full 4 days of crazy fun filled activities such as fitness exercises, gymnastics, ball handling skills, races, partner games, parachute fun, hula hoops, skipping, obstacle course challenge, bean bags throwing, balloon juggling, tug-a-war, limbo, dancing and so much more.
What we packed into a week for these underprivileged families was amazing. All the children were given a wonderful sports games kit, daily crafts, nutritional meals, snacks and T-shirts.
We finished off the week with a self-esteem boosting awards ceremony in front of the children's families.
Play-it-Forward is proud to have provided 4 of these athletes a special sports scholarship enabling these children to attend a free 12-week session of sports classes. We encourage all those that attended to keep being active in sports and play and continue playing it forward!
"We believe everyone should have the opportunity to grow through Sport and Play!" Please visit our website at www.playitforward.ca to see our past projects and find out what we are planning for future to help change the lives of children in need and their communities.
